About My Clients
Have you been struggling with mood or behavioral problems lately? Losing time from work, family, or commitments? I have been working with individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety, depression, obsessive thinking, impulse disorders, and comorbid addictive diagnoses for 5+ years now. Together, we can work on improving physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life. We will figure out your best qualities, strengths, and abilities to realize your goals.
My Background and Approach
I received Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Exposure Response Prevention training from Dr. Amy Young, PsyD. I can help you with obsessive thinking, compulsive behaviors, anxiety, depression, mood instability, distraction, disorganization, and co-occurring addiction struggles. I typically focus on challenges with behavioral and cognitive restructuring, and utilize exposure therapy, acceptance, and values based work to help you achieve long-term results in mood and behavior improvement.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy working with clients irrespective of personal history, creed, origin, gender, ethnicity, and affiliations. I am passionate about mental health care, the innate value of each person, and the natural right to be treated equally with respect and dignity. I believe all individuals possess innate spiritual and value-based sources of resilience and recovery, and attempt to incorporate each client's spiritual beliefs and values into generating motivation for growth and change. I am active in my personal spiritual community, believe in the value of exercise and hobbies in wellbeing, and am involved in several recovery communities. I enjoy family and community time, exercise, music, history research, and spiritual activities.
