About My Clients
I specialize in couples therapy, helping partners navigate emotional disconnection, communication barriers, and life transitions. I also support those experiencing grief, acculturative stress, and the psychological effects of major life changes. Also, I work with diverse clients, including individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and relational difficulties.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Arts in Educational Psychology at McGill University, where I also studied human relations and family life education, deepening my expertise in interpersonal dynamics. At New York University, I pursued a Master of Arts in International Education, researching women's empowerment in Cuba and India. I later earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University, graduating summa cum laude. My dissertation explored psychological, behavioral, and environmental factors contributing to binge eating disorder, highlighting effective interventions for long-term recovery. My therapeutic approach is integrative, blending evidence-based techniques with cultural sensitivity. I help clients explore the impact of early experiences, societal influences, and personal narratives on their emotional well-being. Through fostering attunement and empathy, I support couples in breaking unhealthy patterns and deepening emotional connection.
