My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My name is Nayleesha Mapp, I am a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LP-MFT). I am an experienced mental health professional with five years plus in social services industry, working with adolescents, families, and individuals with trauma. I began graduate school while working full-time in the social services field. I graduated from Touro University with a 3.98 GPA with Magna Cum Laude honors. As an MFT I am able to work with the individual by incorporating their family system into treatment, because family is what shapes our beliefs, influences, interactions and our personalities. It is through our family systems how we show up in love, friendships and in life in general. Collectively, working with my client I will be able to examine the family systems identifying and breaking any generational patterns that contribute to trauma. Reflecting back to my childhood I’ve always been a nurturer with a passion to help others.
