About My Clients
I have extensive experience working with diverse client backgrounds, concerns, strengths, and therapeutic needs. I am fully licensed and trained via many modalities and tailor my approach to meet the needs of my clients. My training and experience is particularly suited for those struggling with identity development, anxiety, depression, grief, men's issues, career concerns, and relationship difficulties. I take a non-judgmental, curious, and encouraging stance with all my clients.
My Background and Approach
When dealing with changes in life or difficulties that attempt to define us, we often try to solve these problems in isolation. Having someone to talk to—in a non-judgmental and empathetic setting—allows us to sort through our thoughts and emotions in an environment primed for growth. I am a psychotherapist who utilizes proven cognitive, behavioral, and existential methods to conduct effective therapy. With training and experience in AEDP, CBT, ACT, DBT, and Logotherapy, I am qualified and skilled at collaborating with clients to deliver the most effective therapy approach to each individual. I have over a dozen years of professional experience in various leadership and support roles. He holds his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado and his MBA from the University of Denver. Nathan is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and is fully licensed in the state of New York as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the individual and communal nature of a fulfilling life. Each individual has more knowledge and expertise about their own life than I ever could. I am not here as a leader or coach, but rather as a partner to help you navigate an ever-evolving and challenging world. I believe in the rights of all human being and the freedom for individuals to chose how they want to lead their life. Personally, I love to read, write, spend time with friends and family, volunteer within the Intellectual and Developmental Disability community, and exercise. Something I am passionate about is healthy and caring relationships and how to uncover and build upon our innate and chosen values while coexisting peacefully and joyously with those we care about deeply.
