About My Clients
My ideal clients are teens, young adults, and families—especially within the Spanish-speaking and first-generation communities—who are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, identity struggles, or major life transitions. I’m passionate about creating a safe, culturally sensitive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. Whether you're overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply seeking support, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion and practical tools for lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a bilingual, trauma-informed therapist with years of experience supporting teens, young adults, and families through life’s most difficult challenges. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I understand the unique struggles of navigating multiple cultural identities, and I bring that insight into my work. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, grief, identity issues, and life transitions using a blend of evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness. My background includes working with high-risk youth and providing culturally responsive care within the Spanish-speaking community. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to express themselves fully—in either English or Spanish. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to grow, I’m here to support you with tools tailored to your needs, goals, and lived experiences. Let’s work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected—one step at a time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first-generation Mexican-American and native Spanish speaker, I’m deeply passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health within the Latinx community and creating spaces where culture and healing can coexist. I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, affirming care—regardless of their background, identity, or life story. I stand for racial equity, mental health advocacy, and culturally responsive therapy. I’m a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community and support movements like Black Lives Matter and immigrant rights. I also have a special place in my heart for youth navigating bicultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and complex family dynamics. Outside of the therapy room, I love supporting local mental health education efforts and hope to one day incorporate American Sign Language to expand my accessibility. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where all people feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
