My Background and Approach
I was trained at Naropa University in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology. I offer a holistic approach to growth & healing, incorporating mindfulness, meditation, and spirituality into traditional counseling and psychotherapy methods. I focus on integrating our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects to promote self-awareness, presence, and the exploration of inner experiences to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves. I focus on cultivating empathy and compassion for your experiences, creating a safe and supportive environment for vulnerability and honesty. Our relationship is of utmost importance for this work to be beneficial, and I practice integrity, humility, and right relation as the foundation. I work with couples, helping them grow closer by improving communication, understanding, and deepening their heart connection. Work with individuals & groups focuses on cultivating self-awareness, compassion, and an embodied knowing of our interconnection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
What matters most to me is how we treat each other. How we look, dress, express, speak, move, eat…are all secondary to the degree of kindness, respect, and compassion we offer ourselves and each other. Foundational to this is learning about different ways of living and being in close relation with difference. I believe once there is a human connection, difference can become beautiful rather than threatening.
