Stress seems to be the 'normal' way of life, but it doesn't have to affect you in a negative manner. Having a safe place to process life and it's happenings will lead to improved functioning in all areas of your life.
Being a Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) practitioner, I seek to support children and families in having healthy attachments, whether they are in the early life stages or later life stages. Children, many times, carry the attachment style that they grew up with, throughout their life. When this is not a healthy style, it affects their relationships for life. Having this knowledge and alternatives increases your success in relationships.
Having previously worked with foster care agencies, I continue to enjoy providing therapy services to biological, foster and adoptive families. It is important for all parties to recognize doing what is best for the child is most important, as is everyone working in the same direction. This approach improves success for the family and child.
