About My Clients
Are you a parent of a child or teen who seems anxious, unpredictable and easily triggered? Do you feel like you're walking on eggshells not knowing the right thing to say or do? My extensive experience with middle school aged kids and above, as well as their families, can help you alleviate that stress. We can work together to get more clarity about your child's difficulties and ways to bring you and your family more peace.
My Background and Approach
I spent a number of years working as a therapist in a school setting. Helping families and children navigate their needs, while also being aware of the school structure. I have extensive experience with trauma therapy and I utilize EMDR in order to help clients process traumatic memories. For children, teens and their families, I enjoy using a strengths based approach, as well as a Collaborative and Proactive Solutions approach, to solve problems with behavior. My goals are always to bring clarity and understanding into situations that are confusing, frustrating and desperate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone sitting with me in a therapy session is ultimately good, has innate and unique strengths and most often even knows what is the best thing to do. My job is to help them identify and clean up the rubbish that stands between them and a more meaningful, fulfilling and joyful life.
