About My Clients
I connect best with those who are seeking a listening ear and practical guidance. We talk about work stress, home stress, parenting concerns, relationship issues, mental health - you name it. I particularly enjoy working with parents as they navigate the tough road with their kiddos (neurotypical or not), and as they negotiate changes to their marriages. I also enjoy being a part of your transitions - from school to work, for marriage to divorce, from divorce to new beginnings.
My Background and Approach
I have a Doctorate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Michigan State University. I approach any client and presenting problem in a systemic way, looking for pattens and coming up with novel solutions. I am a group practice owner at Natasha Kendal and Associates, and if logistical factors (schedules, insurance etc. ) prevent us from working together, I will find you and your family a perfect therapist at my practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs center around the idea of personal responsibility for each individual; I use this philosophy in my counseling on a daily basis. We can grow old and gray waiting for others to accommodate us/hear us/provide for us OR we can find personal power to do so ourselves. Small steps in the right direction bring BIG results.
