About My Clients
My clients and I work in a collaborative healing space. We work on generational trauma, systemic, cultural and institutionalized trauma, childhood trauma, complex-PTSD and various symptoms that trauma can generate. Such as, depression and anxiety. I may also bring in ancestral energy wisdom at times in session which supports the regulation of the autonomic nervous system as well as the enhancement of self-awareness.
My Background and Approach
I use an integrative methodology. I look for meaningful patterns in my choices of modalities and interventions that are directly influenced by my personal and educational life experiences. I use self-awareness to recognize identities and behavioral patterns which aid in identifying specific patterns in others. I apply my multicultural background to my professional counseling practices with a strong reliance on a holistic and person-centered approach. Some interventions I utilize include: Somatic Experiencing®, Core Process Psychotherapy, Compassion-Focused therapy, Mindfulness Based-Therapy. I have been working passionately in the mental health field for over 13 years. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology at the UofO and I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at NCU. I have completed my training in Somatic Experiencing® in becoming a certified SE™ Practitioner (SEP).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has the ability to reach an optimum state of wellness while identifying and embracing their authentic self through self-actualization and embodiment.
