About My Clients
I enjoy helping children and young adults build emotional understanding and resilience as they navigate challenges such as identity exploration, life transitions, complex trauma or PTSD, anxiety, and depression. If you or your child are neurodivergent, enjoy a more creative or play-based approach, or value authentic human connection and depth within the therapy process, we may be a good fit!
My Background and Approach
My approach is relational, human-centered, and experiential. I draw on my background as a certified Synergetic Play Therapist to help children make sense of their experiences and develop emotional regulation skills by shifting patterns in the nervous system through play, movement, and authentic interpersonal connection. In my work with adults, I blend skills from talk-based therapies such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and existential psychotherapy with more experiential, creative, and body-based approaches to facilitate comprehensive, lasting change. I also offer therapy groups for both children and adults that utilize tabletop roleplaying games (such as D&D) to support social skills and identity development.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand that no one's life circumstances are exactly the same and believe there is no "one size fits all" approach to healing. We are all uniquely impacted by our own intersecting identities, environments, and social contexts, and I value lived experience and community wisdom in addition to evidence-based interventions when tailoring treatment to meet your needs. Client autonomy and dignity are at the heart of my approach, and I will always center you as the expert of your own experience.
