About My Clients
Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, or perfectionism while trying to hold everything together. You may be stuck in self-criticism, emotional fatigue, or patterns you can’t seem to change. I aim to help my clients slow down, understand their inner world, and build clarity, confidence, and self-compassion so they can feel more grounded and connected to their authentic selves.
My Background and Approach
My approach integrates relational depth with practical, evidence-based techniques. In my practice, there is no hierarchy - I am not the authority in the space, and instead orient with clients as a "fellow traveler" down the path they determine (maybe with some suggestions along the way!). I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic practices, psychodynamic exploration, and CBT to help clients understand the patterns, protections, and internal dynamics that shape their experiences and relationships. In our work, I pay close attention to what emerges in your emotions, body, and relationships so we can piece together a clearer picture of what’s happening beneath the surface. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely met, and when your unique history and strengths shape the work we do. My goal is to help you cultivate emotional flexibility, inner steadiness, and a sense of alignment with who you are becoming.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing works best when you can show up as your actual self- not the version that you've been forced to be through stigma, trauma, or societal pressures. As a queer person with ADHD who’s lived through an eating disorder, trauma, and depression, I know what it’s like to be misunderstood or rejected - leaving you feeling like you’re always "too much" or "too little." That’s why my style is grounded, real, occasionally humorous, and always judgment-free. My work with Project HEAL and my commitment to Health at Every Size reflects my belief that all bodies deserve respect and care. I also fully support pets in session- if your cat wants to supervise our work or your dog wants to co-regulate, I’m here for it. I’m currently completing my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training (CCTP) because I want my practice to be as informed and empowering as possible. I believe the most healing aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship, not some worksheet or skill.
