About My Clients
I work best with adolescents, and young adults. Many of my clients have been Cisgendered females, but I am comfortable with all genders. The population that I feel I can serve the best are people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I am an empathetic, friendly, compassionate, and skilled clinician. I often use humor in my practice. Clients have said they appreciate my laid-back and grounded approach to therapy. I do not believe that I have the answers for you, but rather that my job is to be with you on the journey. Many of my clients have a history of trauma, which often manifests itself in anxiety and/or depression. I am trained in EMDR, which is a trauma-focused therapy that can provide relief from many trauma symptoms. It is also very effective with anxiety. I also use cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness often. I also help normalize the difficulty of being human, with all of our imperfections and mistakes. I can also provide education about how your brain works, and why we are all so wired towards negativity and anxiety. I also love working with children and parents, to help work on similar symptoms of anxiety and depression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong believer in social justice for all, but I have the most knowledge about feminism, racial justice, and supporting the LGTBQ+ population. I work for a Jewish agency, though I am not Jewish myself. This has given me more insight into antisemitism, and the needs of this population as well.
