About My Clients
I specialize in working with those who are seeking to heal from narcissistic abuse, high-conflict, rejection, abandonment, and other relationship traumas in parent-child, intimate partner, and friendship wounds including high-conflict relationships, rejection, and abandonment. My clients seek to have a deeper connection and intimacy in meaningful relationships; and together we works towards achieving this goal in a safe, supportive, insightful, and non-judgmental space in therapy.
My Background and Approach
I offer clients insight, attachment-based, and person-centered therapy frameworks. I also used cognitive behavioral, DBT, and narrative therapy interventions in treatment. I tailor my treatment methods to each client, based on their needs and where they are in their healing process. I believe that my job is to assist clients on their healing journey without being judgmental. I have a variety of education, training, and work experience that has prepared me to work with diverse backgrounds and allowed me to practice from a culturally sensitive lens. In addition to be culturally aware and sensitive, I am a certified domestic violence counselor which has provided in depth education and experience in working with clients who have a history of relationship trauma. In addition to my therapy practice, I also offer a variety of free resources to clients on my website, which are presented on my blog, podcast, Youtube channels, and newsletter. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that my clientele is an extension of me. Therefore, I work with clients whom I can identify with and that can identify with me through shared cultural experiences. I am passionate about cultural sensitivity and humanity. I continue to be an advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement. In addition to being an advocate for the movement, I also have experience in working with correctional healthcare setting, so I am well aware of the dynamics that can develop in those systems. I am an ally of those who have disabilities and identify with being LGBTQIA.
