About My Clients
You might feel overwhelmed, discouraged or unsure of where to turn. Whether you’re facing a recent challenge or have been struggling for some time, therapy can help. I work with teens & adults experiencing all types of anxiety, social anxiety, relationship issues & life transitions. I have a particular focus on helping individuals with emetophobia (fear of vomiting).
My Background and Approach
I am here to help you develop confidence and skills to better manage your negative thinking patterns, distressing emotions and destructive behaviors. I provide compassionate, solution-focused therapy to help you navigate life's hurdles with confidence. I approach therapy with a willingness to truly understand who you are and what you value. I aim to help you develop a greater sense of self-awareness and compassion. I utilize an integrative approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) and Somatic Therapies. Depending on the client, I will tailor my approach to best meet their needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every human needs to be seen and loved. I believe we all have the strength within us to overcome adversity and develop resilience. Humans are amazingly adaptive to our situations, we just need the support of others to help us build strength, compassion and resilience. I believe in being compassionate and understanding to all of our fellow human beings, we all have struggles and pain. I am a volunteer for AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) as I believe in strength in numbers and supporting people through all walks of life.
