About My Clients
I enjoy working with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood concerns, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and other concerns that may affect overall well-being and quality of life. I am particularly interested in helping individuals navigate periods of change, develop healthier patterns, and gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and overall health.
My Background and Approach
I earned both a Master’s degree and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Albizu University in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I completed a doctoral internship at Citrus Health Network and subsequently completed a fellowship in Health and Primary Care Psychology at Florida State University. My training and clinical experiences have included working within integrated healthcare settings, with a particular interest in the connection between psychological and physical health. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I draw from evidence-based approaches (such as CBT, DBT, MI) and adapt treatment to each patient’s unique needs, strengths, values, and goals. I believe that therapy should be both a safe space to feel understood and an opportunity to develop practical tools that can be applied beyond the therapy room.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in providing a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients can be their authentic selves. I believe that meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, self-awareness, and collaboration. My goal is not simply to help patients manage symptoms, but to help them understand themselves more deeply, recognize patterns that may be holding them back, and develop realistic strategies for creating a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with their goals.
