About My Clients
You may notice patterns in relationships, emotions, or coping that feel difficult to understand or change. Often these patterns are shaped by past experiences, including trauma or attachment wounds. You may experience anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection from yourself or others, or be navigating identity questions, cultural experiences, or life transitions. Therapy can offer a supportive and affirming space to understand these patterns, reduce anxiety, and build healthier relationships
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, anxiety, and relational work. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and grounded in attachment and relational perspectives, helping clients understand how past experiences may shape present patterns in emotions, relationships, and self-understanding. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they want to change, and our work together focuses on building insight, self-compassion, and greater emotional flexibility. I integrate evidence-based therapies with parts and inner child work to help clients understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and move toward healing. I strive to create a supportive and affirming space that honors diverse identities, cultures, and life experiences. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a clinical associate professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. I also work with individuals, couples, and veterans navigating trauma, life challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in spaces where people feel safe, respected, and treated with dignity. I value curiosity, compassion, and deep listening, and I strive to create a therapy space where all identities, cultures, and life experiences are welcomed and honored. As someone from a multicultural background, I deeply value diversity and the many ways people make meaning of their experiences. I am passionate about creating affirming spaces for individuals from different cultural backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQ+ communities. In addition to my clinical work, I teach and supervise clinicians in training. My research focuses on culturally responsive supervision and preparing clinicians to provide care that honors the dignity and identities of the people they serve.
