About My Clients
Are you or your teen having difficulty with relationships and want to learn new strategies to help? Do past traumatic events negatively impact your current relationships? My approach to treatment is founded on developing a strong and empathic relationship with each patient, which facilitates meaningful changes, increased self-awareness, and personal growth. We can work together to develop skills that instill hope and confidence in your own, or your teen’s, ability to overcome these challenges.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist with many years of experience specializing in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, and relationship issues. I have advanced training in cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy and I incorporate mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness techniques into your individualized treatment. I work with high school teens (aged 14+) and adults of all ages across the lifespan. I provide individual and group therapy (e.g., Teens Managing Emotions and Relationships). I offer both daytime and evening appointments. I look forward to providing a non-judgmental and supportive environment in which we can collaborate to help you reach your personal goals!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
All of the therapists at The Snow Psychology Group are fully trained and independently licensed. Our psychologists are licensed to provide telehealth services to those in MD/DC/VA and over 25 other participating PSYPACT states. We have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, ACT, mindfulness, Gottman method couples therapy, as well as supportive psychotherapies. Our therapists are experienced at tailoring their specific approach to the needs of each individual and we strive to match each patient with the therapist in our practice who would be the best fit for them.
