About My Clients
I enjoy working with adults navigating a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment difficulties. I am highly skilled in helping you develop effective coping strategies, manage daily distress, and build lasting resilience to thrive in the face of life's ever-changing demands. We will work together collaboratively to identify your unique strengths, overcome current obstacles, and empower you to confidently navigate life transitions with greater clarity and peace.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Louisville. In my clinical practice, I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all method for therapy. To best serve the diverse needs of my clients, I utilize a flexible, evidence-based approach that draws upon several different modalities. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster psychological flexibility. I may integrate Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you connect with your internal drive for change and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to identify practical, actionable steps towards your goals. By integrating these techniques, I can tailor our sessions to your specific needs, equipping you with the concrete tools necessary to clarify your values and achieve these goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in every person’s inherent potential for growth and healing. Grounded in the understanding that therapy is most effective when rooted in a strong, trusting, and collaborative relationship, my priority is to create a space where you feel truly seen and respected. I work from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective, meaning I will meet you exactly where you are and use your own personal values as the compass to guide our work together.
