About My Clients
I specialize in working with both teens and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and self-esteem concerns. My therapy style is warm, open, and centered on building compassion from within. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
My Background and Approach
I went to school in Iowa, where I discovered my passion for social work. After graduating with my Bachelor’s in Social Work, I moved to Milwaukee to pursue my Master’s, focusing on the mental health side of the field. My journey began in mental health hospitals, where I gained valuable experience, and for the past year and a half, I’ve been in private practice. My focus is on creating a cozy, supportive environment where you can feel understood and empowered to explore and grow. I strive to create a space that is safe and free from judgment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my favorite quotes is: "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." Therapy can be challenging because it requires you to confront your emotions. A session might not always end with clear answers or a single solution, but it does create a valuable space for you to learn and explore what will support your growth.
