About My Clients

I work with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults at all stages of life. I specialize in women-focused therapy, supporting adult and adolescent women on issues ranging from body image, disordered eating, fertility, pre-and post natal challenges, parenting and identity issues. I also specialize in supporting professionals, executives and offer career counseling and support.

My Background and Approach

I support clients in building effective skills to regulate their emotions and overcome obstacles. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and mindfulness practices. I help people live out their values, improve their health and functioning, cultivate resilience and deepen their sense of meaning, purpose and wellbeing. My background includes training as a coach, psychotherapist, psychoeducator and behavioral scientist. I have training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and CBT for weight management, amongst other approaches. I teach mindfulness-based courses including Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), Mindful self compassion (MSC), Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and Mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a passionate lifelong learner and believe each of us has the potential for growth and meaningful change. I enjoy diving into the challenging and messy parts of life and trying to make meaning from it. While I love conducting scientific research and learning new theories to explain and change human behavior, what I find most fulfilling is learning from people, listening to their stories, and co-exploring with them how to navigate through challenges so as to find greater meaning, purpose, health and wellbeing.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
I have experience with the following
