My Background and Approach
Provides psychiatry care services to patients ages 14>. Prior to starting Phoenix Minds ,I was a Nurse Practitioner at Heartland Physicians and also worked inpatient and outpatient setting in the Woodland Springs Hospital, Westpark behavioral Hospital, Consulted for Encompass health in Woodlands. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Arlington, and Master of Science in Nursing immediately after. I am board certified by ANCC and have 17 years of Nursing experience. For the past few years my practice has focused on eliminating mental health stigma which is a big deal personally to me based on my background. Let me help you achieve that functional life and help you bounce back on your feet. WE can do this together using an wholistic care approach shows empathy with great listening skills while being a patient advocate. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe mental health has been overlooked and not only that, ever since i was a child, we were never allowed to discuss it or even mention that we are depressed or anxious. It gets shut down immediately like a taboo. I have family members that deal with everything listed above and more however, they were not able to get help due to their financial situation or their ethnic background.
