About My Clients
Your success in therapy is a result of WANTING to make changes, not NEEDING to change. I am able to hold a gentle space for your pain and struggles. No one can tell you that you are not hurting. I am a compassionate therapist using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Meditation, and other creative modalities to support and guide you to living your best life. My primary focus is on Self-care. My belief is that without Self-care, making changes is difficult.
My Background and Approach
My experience consists of intensive work with individuals (18+) who experience Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Relationship, and Bereavement/End of Life Issues. Many clients are challenged with Life transitions including parenting, marital and relationship issues. Additionally, my work may include behavior modification work, exposure therapy and journaling. I am most interested in "meeting you where you are at" and joining you to find a solution to the problems that you may be experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My belief is that everyone needs and may want someone to talk to. Learning how to communicate your thoughts and express your feelings to another person is the first step in changing. Nothing changes, if nothing changes...it takes courage and hard work to engage in therapy. This cannot happen if a strong trust and rapport is not established between therapist and client.
