About My Clients

I work well with clients who are in the thick of midlife. You may be feeling dissatisfied with work and relationships, restless, bored, and questioning earlier decisions. Perhaps you are anxious about the future, dating, or newly single. I help you to pause and think, “Who am I, really and how to I want to live"? In therapy I help you identify patterns and work through stuck places in order for you to flourish in the rest of your life.

My Background and Approach

I use both practical interventions and deeper exploration to help you feel better and build self esteem. Together we explore your history, your current life, and your strengths in order to create positive change. You will find me fully engaged, calm, honest, nonjudgmental and positive. I have the experience and the compassion to help you sort out difficult emotions. I believe a therapeutic relationship can help heal. I am a San Francisco native. My office is accessible. I am an avid reader, a volunteer, and a peer consultant as well as a clinician. In previous phases of my life I have been an elementary school teacher, an educational therapist, a parent educator, a crisis line counselor, and a book and film critic. I received my MA at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California and my BA at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
