About My Clients
Nadja provides services to young adults, adults, and the elderly in individual and couples counseling sessions. She has experience working with children, youth, and adults (including seniors) in individual, couples, and families/groups sessions in various settings. Nadja utilizes different therapeutic approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Integrative/holistic, Solution Focused, Strength Based) to individualize and customize therapy to her client.
My Background and Approach
When working with her clients, Nadja knows that "the client is the expert of themselves." She works in collaboration with you and starts wherever you ARE. Her goal is to pull things together for you (connect the dots), help you gain different perspectives (if appropriate), explore tools that help YOU cope better, and finally have you no longer need her.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all can continuously grow, expand, and learn, re-learn habits and retrain the brain. I also think that trauma impacts and changes the brain, and that a combination of bottoms up (body: for example meditation, breathing techniques, mindfulness) and bottoms down (brain: for example CBT, talk therapy) approaches are more impactful in changing ones unhealthy patterns/mental health issues.
