About My Clients
Burnout is more complex than just feeling exhausted, disconnected, and disillusioned. You may experience burnout as a paralyzing state or as an overwhelming force on your senses. It has deep roots that have developed over time and through life experiences. It can make you feel isolated or helpless as you try to reclaim your sense of self. I provide a space where you don't have to filter your pain points; a place to discover how to feel empowered even when there are things out of your control.
My Background and Approach
For the past 7 years I have had the privilege to be able to help both adolescents and adults make connections between their mental health to systems, influences, and internal/external factors that play a role in the health of their mind and body. Your therapy journey will build your awareness, increase your confidence, and solidify resilience regardless of what the next chapters of your life bring. While all are welcome, I connect to and uplift Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) as well as teens. Individuals whom I believe are continuously treated as less than whole people, often unacknowledged and invalidated. I prioritize those who work in helping professions such as medical professionals, activists, teachers, therapists. It's essential to help the helpers. I specialize in trauma that comes from personal or professional experiences, anxious distress, pregnancy and infertility, and centering BIPOC specific challenges such as intergenerational and intersectional harms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is about living the best version of yourself and having the best quality of life. Although meaning and hope can be found working through the vulnerable, difficult parts your story, therapy doesn't need to be limited to only those parts. The journey you take doesn't need to be focused on a diagnosis or be problem-saturated. You have as many parts of you to celebrate as you do to heal. Every part of your story matters.
