My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified (ABPN) psychiatrist with 30 years of medical experience, internationally and for last 21 years in the USA, in different settings. I worked in specialized PTSD clinic, had research in adult ADHD, specialized in treating bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety, and OCD. I treated medical,dental, phD students and professionals with an integrated medication management and therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe psychiatric diseases are medical ones that deserve accurate diagnoses and expert medical care. When you go to a cardiologist with a chest pain you would go through EKG, enzyme measurements and echocardiography in order to come up with accurate diagnosis and then treatment. Cardiologist do not give you pain relief medications and send you on your way. As a psychiatrist I use the same model and accurate diagnosis is a road map in order to choose a safe and efficient treatment.
