My Background and Approach
We are a group of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Associate Counselors and Interns with backgrounds in Psychology/Counseling and related fields. Specialties include working with life transitions and the associated symptoms- depression, anxiety, overwhelm, stress, etc. We use an eclectic, holistic approach to the counseling proces; blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with other therapeutic approaches to help our clients reach their counseling goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Counseling /Psychology is a fast growing and changing field. There are many approaches that claim to "have the answer" to meet your needs but our needs are complicated and different for each of us. We believe you should work with a therapist who has training in a variety of areas so they can meet you where you are and not get stuck in the belief that there is only one approach or style of counseling that will work for everyone. We are open and understanding to a variety of ways of living and cultural influences on our emotional well being so serve unique groups such as veterans, first responders, LGBTQ communities.
