I have received specialized training in treating eating disorders from The Renfrew Center in Florida, a residential eating disorder program. Emphasis is placed on an interdisciplinary approach, where I work with a recommended nutritionist and your personal medical doctor, if needed. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) are evidence-based treatments to address disordered eating symptoms.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is considered the gold standard treatment for many disorders, including anxiety-related disorders. I use cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) strategies to help you process and co-exist with anxiety, while increasing tolerance to anxiety. Emphasis is placed on uncovering anxious thinking patterns while learning healthier coping skills.

OCD, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, can interfere with work functioning, school performance, and social relationships. This disorder is characterized by the need to perform specific actions in response to anxiety triggers. I have received specialized training in Exposure Response Prevention therapy (ERP) and work in per diem in the Neurobehavioral Institute (NBI), one of the nation's leading intensive treatment programs for OCD and related disorders.

My primary theoretical orientation is CBT, focusing on how behavioral changes impact each individual's emotional states and cognitive processes. I utilize a variety of evidence-based CBT approaches including behavioral activation, cognitive defusion, and exposure work.

I specialize in ERP for OCD and related disorders. ERP is also utilized for social anxiety, phobias, and panic disorder. I have worked in the Neurobehavioral Institute (NBI) since 2019, working mostly with OCD and related disorders. Exposures can take place in the clinical setting but can also be generalized to out-of-clinic exposures in the community. A fear hierarchy is initially constructed when treatment begins in order to plan future exposures.

ACT therapy was one of the primary treatment modalities when I worked at the Renfrew Center and I continue to weave it into my current work with clients. ACT has been especially helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety and mood disorders. I integrate strategies that use an acceptance and mindfulness-approach while emphasizing values-driven behaviors.
