About My Clients
I specialize in work with youth ages 6 and up as well as young adults. I offer group and family services as well as individual services on an as needed basis. I enjoy working with clients to help them discover and reach their fullest potential breaking through barriers that hinder them from being able to live the life they desire to live. I work with clients dealing with life changes, familt conflict, stress, anger, anxiety, depression, school issues, bullying, and behavioral issues.
My Background and Approach
I believe that the arts are one of the most underrated forms.of therapy so much approach combines expressive arts with cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapeutic modalities as a way to truly express oneself and get to the root of who you are and who you want to become. Client would describe my approach as laid back, empathetic, and creative. I offer a safe space for you to be YOU without judgement as I walk along side you in this journey of finding yourself. You are the focus , you are in the driver's seat and I am just the passenger helping along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Christian Black Female who is an advocate for mental health and bridging the gap in the school to prison pipeline. I am a huge advocate of education reform as the system continues to fail our kids. I enjoy serve projects and engaging in artistic expression and family time in my free time, as a social worker though I am never truly off the clock.
