About Our Clients
Our diverse team has a common thread of working with military service members and their families. We have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children. Many clients come to us for issues such as overthinking, stress, workplace issues, relationship issues, physical reactions to emotions such as panic, avoidance, self-sabotaging behaviors and choices, perfectionism, value conflicts, body image issues and more.
My Background and Approach
Our team comes from diverse backgrounds and our approaches vary depending on the clients we are serving. All of our team members have master's degrees in counseling or social work, and several team members have doctoral degrees. We use modalities such as CBT, ACT, EMDR , Somatic, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic and EXPERIENTIAL Therapies. We offer strengths-based counseling, and believe that each client has the solution to their problems within. Through exploration of thoughts and emotions, skills training, and consistent action, clients can design the lives they desire.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
All of our team members have a special place in their hearts for military service members and their families. We believe that our veterans and retired service members deserve the very best care. We are constantly improving and increasing our knowledge of the mental health field by learning new skills, strategies and techniques to assist our clients. We believe that every individual has value and every person has the capability for change. We believe that clients have the solutions to their problems locked within themselves and our role is to help them identify what is keeping them from living the lives they desire , to make small behavioral shifts toward desired goals leading to significant life changes. We help the client identify what is in their control, what actions they can take to shift their current reality and ultimately move from a feeling of powerlessness to empowerment.
