“What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?” Sometimes the greatest challenge is getting up and facing a new day. My Crossing Paths Counseling Center understands this challenge and is here to lend a hand when one is needed. Offering individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. Our clinicians are trained in a client centered approach, ensuring treatment is individualized.
My Background and Approach
We believe that each individual knows how to heal themselves. Sometimes, it just takes a caring person to listen. Our staff has been trained in a wide variety of treatment modalities and will integrate them into counseling whenever I feel it is appropriate. Those modalities include: EMDR, Play therapy, Sand Tray, Expressive Therapies, CFTSI, and TF-CBT to name a few. Providing individualized care is of the utmost importance. MCPCC uses this approach when working with individuals and will format care based off of the modalities the therapist knows and the individual's needs in therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As the owner, I believe everyone has the capacity for change and happiness. People often struggle with mental health because they feel stuck and are not sure where to turn. I struggle with my own mental health concerns and medical traumas, and in doing my own work have come to appreciate the different types of modalities offered to individuals. I don't discriminate against anyone and I make a continual effort to expand my knowledge in diversity issues, as I believe we are all constantly learning and evolving to be better.
