About My Clients
Tired of your mind running in endless loops? You're exhausted by intrusive thoughts and the relentless “what if” doubts that won’t let up. You replay conversations, question your morality, fear causing harm, or chase certainty through rumination. You may have been told to just “tolerate uncertainty” or that it’s just anxiety— but OCD operates differently. Are you ready to understand your OCD at its core and feel grounded in your own mind again— steady, clear, and no longer at war with yourself?
My Background and Approach
I’m Mx. Lauren Johnson, MA, LPC, a licensed therapist with lived experience of Autism, ADHD, and OCD. I help people who feel trapped in intrusive thoughts, “what if” doubts, and endless mental loops and compulsions that interfere with daily life. Using I-CBT (Inference-Based CBT), we target the core reasoning behind OCD rather than only the anxiety that it creates. Together, we'll untangle your thoughts, rediscover your real, authentic self, and rebuild trust in yourself. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and neurodivergent-affirming— so you can finally step out of doubt and live with clarity, confidence, and freedom. You’ll gain insight into how OCD tricks your mind, learn I-CBT strategies to respond differently to intrusive thoughts, notice the fear-driven thought cycles without getting lost in them, and trust your own judgment— so you can finally reclaim your life and stop letting OCD run the show. Reach out today to start building the clarity and self-trust you deserve!
Why I am a Good Fit for You
Finally, a therapist for your OCD who truly gets it. I’m Lauren (he/him), a queer, trans, non‑monogamous, disabled AuDHD therapist with lived experience of OCD. Therapy should be a space where you are fully seen, understood, and accepted—not a place to over-explain, prove yourself, or filter your thoughts. I provide a space where your identity is welcomed—so you can skip the “Am I safe?” scan, bring intrusive thoughts openly, and spend session time on OCD, not identity or neurodivergence 101. You can do deeper work on the thoughts, doubts, and mental compulsions holding you back, and start discovering what freedom from obsessive loops can feel like. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to your lived experience. No more masks. No more over-explaining. Just a place where you can be. Here, you can finally feel seen, understood, and supported while working on your OCD in a way that honors your whole self. Book your free 15-minute video consultation (camera optional).
