About My Clients
What if you could eliminate self-sabotage? What if you could heal emotional wounds? What if you regained control of your life? At times, life can be very challenging... We all go through phases where we feel stuck, fighting multiple fronts and we may feel emotionally defeated and exhausted. I'd like you to know one thing, you are not alone. That's why I chose this field of counseling, to help people move forward in life.
My Background and Approach
For over nine years I've been helping individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families with my counseling skills. Nothing gives me more satisfaction in life than seeing my clients succeed. I'm a warm and empathetic counselor and avoid focusing on diagnosis. I believe every client is different and everyone has an innate ability to heal and change. My focus is to help you identify your inner strength and skills. My goal is to help you achieve YOUR goals. Throughout the years I’ve been helping clients address a wide range of problems such as substance abuse, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and many other life afflicting problems. I worked with mentally ill individuals, psycho-social rehabilitation center, private practice, school setting and at military installations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a counselor I don't push a personal agenda on my clients. I strongly respect and value all religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political views, cultures and races. I treat every client as a unique person and everyone's story is different. A bit about myself I’m fluent in English and Spanish, and currently working on my Italian. I was born in Nicaragua (beautiful country to visit if you get a chance) and I lived for many years in Miami and in Europe. Yes, I like to float around the planet :) The things that give me the most pleasure and satisfaction in life are helping people, traveling, a wise book, a good laugh, hiking, painting, and a good cup of coffee. And, I love photography!
