About My Clients

You or your teen may look capable on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, anxious, scattered, burned out, unmotivated, or never “good enough.” I work with teens and adults with ADHD, as well as parents of kids with ADHD, who feel stuck in cycles of procrastination, perfectionism, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and exhaustion. Therapy can help you feel understood, build practical tools, and move forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

My Background and Approach

My approach is neurodivergent affirming, warm, collaborative, culturally sensitive, and practical. I believe therapy works best when clients feel understood as whole people, not reduced to symptoms or diagnoses. Together, we explore the patterns, needs, beliefs, and life experiences that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck. I support clients in better understanding how ADHD and neurodivergence may shape focus, motivation, relationships, emotions, self esteem, boundaries, and follow through. Therapy may include building tools for emotional regulation, self compassion, communication, organization, coping with overwhelm, and strengthening a more grounded sense of self. With over 17 years in the mental health field and more than 15 years of clinical experience, I bring depth, care, and practical support to my work with teens, adults, parents, and families.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe many people who seem capable on the outside are quietly carrying a lot on the inside. They may be managing responsibilities, caring for others, meeting expectations, and trying to keep up, while feeling anxious, depleted, disconnected, or unsure why things feel so hard. I also believe that struggling does not mean you are failing. For clients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, burnout, or overwhelm, the challenge is often not a lack of effort. It is the weight of trying to do more, be more, and hold everything together without enough support or understanding. As an Asian American woman, a child of refugees, a first generation college and graduate student, a mom, and someone who understands neurodivergence through clinical and personal experience, I bring empathy, cultural awareness, and respect for each client’s story. I believe therapy can help people move from self criticism toward clarity, confidence, connection, and self trust.
