About My Clients
My outpatient experience includes working with children and teens as well as family, couples and individual therapy. I utilize a combination of CBT, Sand-tray/Play Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation and Creative Art Interventions to support clients experiencing mental health issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment issues, and substance use disorders.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; I utilize a combination of CBT, Sandtray/Play Therapy, and Creative Art Interventions to support clients experiencing mental health issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment issues, and substance use disorders. These therapeutic activities are effective in helping families improve communication and enhance their relationships. By using creative approaches, my clients gain deeper insight and coping strategies in a fun and unique manner with great success. In 2020 I attended Jefferson’s Mindfulness Based Reduction (MBSR) course and practicum and have implemented mindfulness mediation in clients weekly individual and group therapies. I incorporate art interventions, verbal therapy, writing exercises and meditation techniques, to provide a holistic therapeutic experience for my clients. I tailor these interventions to each client’s specific needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
"All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them" a quote from Walt Disney. I believe we all have the courage to grow and create the life we want. As a teen and young adult, I struggled with anxiety. Through my own therapy and interests in Mindfulness Meditation, I was able to accept and allow me to be me and have able to move beyond my anxious ways.
