About My Clients
To be honest, I am well-trained through my education and experiences to serve a wide range of clients. So instead of giving you a description of my “ideal client,” let me ask you some questions. Is this your decision? Are you struggling with something that feels beyond your capabilities? Are you willing to explore the things in your life that are contributing to your struggle? Are you willing to change how you live your life if you find that the current ways do not work? If yes, then let's talk!
My Background and Approach
I am an eclectic therapist that utilizes a variety of techniques and skills, but Existential-Humanism is my theoretical orientation and the foundation for my practice. But what does that mean for you? First, I believe that you are more than the symptoms and stresses that you present; more so, I believe that therapy is for more than strictly managing symptoms and that it is actually a wonderful method to help you find out who you are and who you want to be. Second, I believe that the here-and-now—the present experience between you and I—is meaningful and worth our attention. During our sessions together, the interactions we share in the present will hopefully build our therapeutic relationship and—after a time—give us more clarity on who you are. From what you say or don’t say to the body language or tone of voice you use to speak, we can get to know you and—with your permission—sort through the obstacles that keep you from who you want to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a progressive, anti-racist kind of guy.
