Sexuality and pleasure are often stigmatized- this plays into how we feel about ourselves, our bodies, and relationships with others. My team specializes in sex and relationship issues with couples & partners, and working towards undoing harmful stories that harm us and create shame. Working from a trauma-informed lens to undo and empower. I work with clients to significantly reduce distress and undo longer-standing concerns.
My Background and Approach
My team and I prioritize sexuality and pleasure while centering the experiences and voices of BIPOC, LGBTQIA, gender variant, kink, non-monogamous, polyamorous, BDSM, sex workers, and the intersectionality of all or any. Racism and Systemic Oppression are forms of structural violence that deny these communities fundamental human rights. The work we do understands that pleasure is integral to our healing. Our work is trauma-informed. A large part of our work together is challenging unhealthy and unhelpful social constructs that impair our ability to connect and relate. My team I am committed to helping you address underlying principles of shame and judgment related to sex negativity, white supremacy, ableism, body shaming, and more. I understand that everyone is impacted by these themes in various cultures, and strive to support you in working toward deeper acceptance of yourself and others to better access your ability to experience peace, acceptance, and joy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a focus in human sexuality, and have been working to undo harmful stories for three decades. As a South Asian, queer, person of color, I work to de-stigmatize sexuality, undo the negative messages upheld by our society, encourage you to look outside of the box, to de-ranormalize, normalize and center the experiences of LGBTQIA, BIPOC , varying body proportions and functions, folx with accents, non-neuro typical , neuro-divergent folx and anyone that does not identify with the normative when it comes to gender, sexual or relationships. I oversee a team of highly -effective therapists and coaches who are excited to work with you as well.
