About My Clients
Burned out, stuck in your head, or feel like you've lost your sense of self? Navigating identity, intimacy or relationship struggles, chronic stress, or experiences that won’t stay buried? Not sure if what you went through was actually trauma? No matter what, you deserve a space that sees you – your complexity, your politics, and your contradictions. I help people (including LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, fat, and other marginalized folks) reconnect with meaning & create lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a clinical social work intern (a student therapist) completing my Master of Social Work at Rutgers University, offering low-cost, affirming services for adults and teens. My approach is grounded in liberation psychology and cultural responsiveness, drawing from numerous concepts, including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, IFS/parts work, and creative methods, among others, to create a holistic view. I work with many folks, including marginalized individuals – but more broadly, I tend to see people who feel stuck, anxious, disconnected, perfectionistic, or unfulfilled. Together we’ll explore how identity, history, and systems of power shape your story, while building skills to reduce stress, deepen self-understanding, and strengthen relationships. I offer a space that is kink-positive, body-liberatory, respectful of all relationship structures, and aware of power & oppression. My goal is to help you feel grounded in your own truth & capable of living more fully and freely.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m passionate about liberation across all dimensions of identity, including race, class, gender, sexuality, and body. I believe therapy should not just help people adapt to oppressive systems, but help them heal and resist. I stand with movements for racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and fat liberation, and I am kink-aware & poly/CNM-affirming. Outside of sessions, I’m a bit of a nerd and an unapologetic lover of character-driven stories/games. I believe humor and authenticity belong in the therapy room – sometimes we’ll swear, sometimes we’ll analyze your favorite TV show, and sometimes we’ll just sit in what’s real. Healing isn’t linear, and it’s not just personal. It’s communal, creative, political, and deeply human. I believe you deserve to be part of a therapeutic space that doesn't shy away from that.
