About My Clients
Are you a black woman who feels devalued, unseen, unheard, misunderstood, and thus, stressed, anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, burnt out, and feel as if unable to cope with life; often suffering in silence? Do you tell yourself that you can handle it all by yourself, and that you do not want to "burden" others with "your stuff"? I want to let you know that I see you. I want to help you to see that you do not have to suffer alone.
My Background and Approach
I want you to know that there is hope on the other side, and empower you to be a healthier version of yourself! Working together, we can accomplish this, and more! My specialties include depression, anxiety, self-worth/esteem work, self-care, and my passion is empowering black women who have not tapped into who they are, YET! QUEEN, let me tell you: You are destined for greatness! You are be-YOU-tiful! You are worthy of love! I want to help you get to a place where you can (and do) say this to yourself—AND believe it! I tend to use humanistic, interpersonal, strengths-based and mindfulness approaches, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques in my sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone should be treated fairly and with lovingkindness. As a black woman, I have a special love and care for other black women who have not yet learned their worth, due to societal pressures/stigmas, upbringing, childhood and other significant relationship experiences/traumas. I am and believe in being very active in my communities--be it professional (therapists and/or entrepreneurs, change-makers), spiritual/faith-based (Christian), or cultural (Black and/or BIPOC).
