About My Clients

I work with adults seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel stuck in familiar emotional or relational patterns. I offer depth-oriented, psychodynamic therapy for people who want to better understand themselves, make sense of difficult feelings, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed therapist in Walnut Creek, CA, providing psychodynamic, depth-oriented therapy for adults. I’ve completed extensive postgraduate training in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory, which informs how I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach focuses on understanding the emotional and relational patterns that shape how people experience themselves and others. Rather than only managing symptoms, psychodynamic therapy helps uncover the underlying meanings of anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, or repeated relationship difficulties. These experiences often reflect something important that hasn’t yet been fully understood or worked through. In therapy, we pay close attention to emotional experience, relationships, and patterns that emerge over time—including those that show up in the therapeutic relationship itself. Clients often come to me after trying more structured or skills-based approaches and wanting deeper, more las

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is both a relational practice and a craft—one that requires sustained training, careful attention, and a commitment to ongoing learning. I see therapy as a place where meaning is made over time, through listening closely to emotional experience, relationships, and the patterns that quietly shape how we live. I believe our inner lives are deeply influenced by culture, identity, family history, and the broader social world. In periods of political, environmental, and social instability, many people experience anxiety, grief, guilt, or helplessness. I understand these feelings not as individual pathology, but as meaningful emotional responses to the world we’re living in. My work is grounded in respect for complexity. I believe therapy should make room for questions of identity, difference, power, and belonging without reducing people to labels or explanations. I value curiosity over certainty, and thoughtful reflection over quick conclusions.
