About My Clients
My clients often struggle with symptoms such as recurring negative patterns in their life, anxiety, depression, anger, overwhelm, relationship issues, problematic family dynamics, trouble getting new habits to stick, and compulsively using external things to feel better (i.e. work, people, alcohol). Through a mixture of talk therapy and body centered approaches, we explore sources of trauma and healing with curiosity.
My Background and Approach
My style of therapy is supportive, empathetic, and authentic. I take therapy beyond talk therapy to help bring lasting change. I am cross-trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Imago Relationship Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, sex therapy, and polyvagal theory; however, my approach is tailored to each person and what works best for you. I am also 12-step informed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQ+ and pro-liberation from the trauma of living in a capitalistic, racist, misogynistic culture. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that works best when there is a safe and compassionate therapeutic relationship. I also believe every person has the innate capacity and right to living a life of peace and freedom.
