My Background and Approach
My name is Morgan Hartman and I received my BA in Art at Illinois Wesleyan University and my master’s degree in Art Therapy from Illinois State University. In my academic studies, I was able to shape my deepest philosophy about finding creative ways to uplift people’s spirits, focus on solutions, and put ideas into action. As a student of yoga in my spare time, I further believe that wellness stems from our ability to maintain a fluid connection between mind-body-spirit. My many years of experience in the counseling field has been gathered from working with people who experience a variety of difficulties. My specialties include substance abuse, eating disorders, depression and other mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, and grief. Most importantly, I’ve learned that we are all better when we work together, please know you don't have to face your difficulties alone!
