Our ways of relating to others often stem from unmet needs of the past. Through our work together, we will identify your attachment style and discover how to navigate current relationships successfully, while processing the potential impact of early life experiences.
I am certified in EMDR and have found this modality to be effective in uncovering how the negative thoughts, body sensations, and emotions around distressing events have impacted an individual over time. EMDR helps process difficult experiences while providing safety and coping strategies.
I specialize in helping individuals process and heal from traumatic life experiences. I am trained in several modalities, all of which can aide in the process of seeing trauma memories as a part of a story, rather than defining how you live your life today.
"What am I needing right now that I'm not getting?' This question is a powerful one to explore when an individual is hoping to navigate underlying issues around substance use. I have developed a compassion-focused substance use program, and have worked at multiple treatment facilities, which have given me important insights and expertise in treating addiction.
Dissociation can manifest in a variety of ways, all of which can feel disconcerting and overwhelming. I have extensive training and experience in working with individuals who feel 'outside themselves' and not fully apart of their day to day lives.
I have a great deal of experience in treating individuals struggling with symptoms of PTSD and C-PTSD. Retraining the nervous system to opt out of a trauma response is one of the key components to tapping back in to internal safety and trust. I am EMDR certified and also use CRM and IFS approaches to help process traumatic events and regulate emotions.
