About My Clients
Have you ever felt like an outcast, as if you don't fit in, maybe anxious, depressed, fearful, ever lose someone close to you, or misunderstood? I'll never tell you I understand completely, everyone's experiences are different; I'm here to help you navigate the difficult times and celebrate the great ones. Let's show up together!
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals of diverse groups navigate their mental health journeys; [I’ve worked with many individuals specifically in the LGBTQIA+ community in navigating their identity, ways this impacts their mental health and other areas of their lives]. I believe that therapy is most effective when clients feel free to be their authentic selves, allowing feelings and experiences to surface without judgment. I have extensive experience across various areas of the mental health field, and do my best to adjust my approach to meet each person's unique needs. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness exercises; I am currently working toward certification in EMDR as well. I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Shippensburg University and a Master's degree [also in Social Work] from the University of Denver.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Olive, my fiancé, best friend and family. I also enjoy spending time outside, listening to music, trying new things and starting new projects—though I admit I don’t always finish them. I do my best to always advocate for social justice and encourage others to do the same. We all have rights, they shouldn't be determined by who we love, how we look or where we are from. I'm here to support you as you are. I do my best to foster a safe, welcoming space for your growth and healing.
