About My Clients

Many of my clients come to therapy wanting to understand themselves more deeply, including how past experiences and relationships are still shaping who they are today. They're often navigating anxiety, life transitions (such as career changes, moving to a new city, etc)relationship dynamics, or intergenerational trauma. I primarily work with adults, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx and first-and second-generation immigrants.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and integrative, so it might look a little different depending on what you need. I draw from psychodynamic, CBT, parts work, attachment-based, and mindfulness approaches, and together we'll figure out what fits: processing something heavy, practicing a concrete skill, or exploring a pattern that keeps showing up in your relationships. I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship dynamics, trauma, life transitions, and anxiety, including many BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and first- and second-generation immigrant clients navigating identity and family expectations. I believe the therapeutic relationship matters as much as any technique, so I aim to create a space where all of who you are feels welcome. I bring humor, curiosity, warmth, and empathy into every session, and we'll figure out together what actually works for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm rooted in social justice and collective healing. As a second-generation Asian American from a family of refugees, I've seen firsthand how systems, culture, and history shape a person's sense of self and wellbeing, not just individual choices. That understanding is part of how I approach every client's story. I'm a committed ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and kink and sex-positive affirming, and you can show up as your full self in our work together. I believe healing happens in connection with others and within community, not just in isolation, and all of who you are deserves space in this work.
