About My Clients
If you are someone who has been impacted by past trauma, feelings of anxiety or depression, I am here to support you. I utilize an abolitionist framework that aims to equip my clients with the necessary tools to gain control over these difficult feelings, so that they may utilize these strategies on their own. I am client-centered, and work from an intersectional and trauma informed framework.
My Background and Approach
My background in therapeutic practices includes my interest in working with LGBTQIA+ BIPOC communities. I utilize various CBT and mindfulness interventions to help clients challenge and reframe their thinking, deconstruct internalized homophobia and racism, while acknowledging my own positionality within the therapeutic space. My practice is very client-centered, and we focus on how intersecting identities impact an individual's lived experience. Each client makes their own goals for treatment, and I support the individual's growth by challenging thinking, while also meeting them where they are at in the process.
