About My Clients
I work primarily with teens and women of color who are survivors of violence, abuse, or trauma, whether in childhood or beyond. I also work with clients who are wishing to address issues that can be related to trauma including PTSD, dissociation, anger, body image concerns, self-esteem, perfectionism, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
My Background and Approach
I work from a trauma-informed, feminist, and multicultural lens. While I generally take a person-centered approach to therapy, I also utilize other techniques including DBT, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, yoga, and many more! I believe there is no one-size-fits-all to therapy, and it’s important to work together to figure out what works best for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all people should have access to mental healthcare as well as the right to find a therapist of which they feel safe and comfortable with. Traditionally, these rights have excluded people of color. Black and Brown folks should be able to seek and receive services from someone who looks like them if they choose to do so.
