About My Clients
Everyone reaches a point in their lives where they are presented with unique challenges and obstacles to face and overcome. These challenges may have been present since childhood, the result of trauma or an unplanned life-altering event. These events can cause anxiety, depression, difficulties in school, work , relationships, and overall quality of life. My goal is to help you understand your emotions, behavior, and challenges. My Background and Approach
I have worked in the field of behavioral health since 2005 and have many years of diverse experience in practice. Over the past 16.5 years that I have been in mental health, I have extensive experience in a little bit of everything, from working exclusively with the developmental population for 10 years to moving more clinically to working with clients with anxieties and depression. For the past 7.5 years, I have worked for one of the larger community agencies in the Treasure Valley in Idaho serving as a SUDS Program Director, Mental Health Program Director, CBRS/CM Program Director, Clinical Peer Supervisor and have provided clinical supervision for many master level interns . I utilize a variety of techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness, Solution Focused techniques, and I weave them into a supportive, person-centered counseling approach. Treatment is always focused on elevating change to achieve a greater sense of self, both physically and emotionally.
