My Background and Approach
My goals are to employ a collaborative approach with my clients in order to produce the most effective outcomes. I am fully licensed as a LPC in Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas. I am trained in and will utilize a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavior, Person-Centered , Solution-Focused Brief , Dialectical Behavior ,Narrative and other therapeutic approaches. I have experience working with families, children, adolescents, young adults, and women. I have extensive experience working with at-risk youth ages 5+ with mental health symptoms/concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief /loss, trauma, suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors. I have a verse knowledge pertaining to disorders such as ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Behavioral issues, and Self-Esteem. Each modality that is utilized will be used to create an optimal healing and will be tailored to the individual.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in living my life by two R’s: release and relief. So often we internalize our feelings and emotions and find relief through negative self-talk, over working, engaging in toxic relationships and overthinking. Which means we never truly deal with the stressor or trigger to release the emotion. Now ask yourself, how is this fair to your present and your future? As a child internalizing my feelings and emotions was my solution to life which accompanied me into my adulthood. The inability to release my feelings in a healthy manner encouraged my negative self-talk and self-doubts. Through healthy therapy and releasing I have formed healthy relationships and freed my own feelings and created an amazing present with an even brighter future. I trust the process that everyone must release their emotions in a non-judgmental setting no matter their developmental, circumstantial difficulties, and/or socioeconomic status groups.
